After the lease between Lakeside Fellowship United Methodist Church and North Seminole - Sanford Little League was finalized, George Pihakis II approached John Williams to ask if the Wayne M. Densch Charitable Trust would support North Seminole - Sanford Little League in its’ effort to construct the park. Leonard E. Williams, Trustee, along with the Board Members of the Wayne M. Densch Charitable Trust decided that they would indeed support the park, and North Seminole - Sanford Little League’s Board Members felt that their donation warranted naming the park the Wayne M. Densch Fellowship Park, to honor both Wayne M. Densch Charitable Trust’s financial support and Lakeside Fellowship United Methodist Church’s generous 25 year lease of the land.

During the lease process and throughout these early stages of development many professionals have already come forward to donate their time and resources to do everything from the architectural and engineering plans to the lighting plans for the park.
